In the Autumn statement it was confirmed that £860m will be available to pay tariffs to owners of renewable heating systems. Ground source heating is one of the most efficient systems, and with the tariffs - which will be payable from the 1st June next year - the investment is expected to provide excellent financial returns. So now is the best time to install a system which will reduce heating bills by 85% and provide an unbeatable return on the capital spend. (The draft paper recommends payments to owners of reasonable sized houses of about £1500 per year for 23years and that is on top of the savings in heating bills)

Earthtest Energy had a successful few days at the Homebuilding and Renovating show at the Eastern Show Ground in Peterborough over the last weekend of May 2009. Despite the hot weather and an important soccer match the show was well attended and the Earthtest Energy stand was a major attraction with its colourful message of up to 85% heat cost savings with the installation of heat recovery and geothermal heating.
Brochures were taken up at a fast rate and all Earthtest Energy personnel were fully occupied throughout the day discussing the benefits of geothermal heating.
